So as I mentioned in my previous post about my video series, I decided that on days when I cannot upload a video I would put down my notes here on the blog. Making notes on the political news with my quick analysis is something I do on a regular basis, this is my way of sharing.

ICJ decision comes in Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case

Both India and Pakistan are claiming judgement is in their favour but most likely it is in India’s favour since Pakistan asked to stop the execution. All parties have welcomed the ICJ decision and so far, BJP leaders didn’t try to gain any political brownie on it.

Amit Shah says he will throw out every illegal immigrant.

He must quit giving these provocative threats and go ahead try doing whatever he wants with immigrants. Lawyers and human rights activists have already started looking up law books to prepare for resistance. As long as Courts are not shut down, people will fight injustice.

Bihar govt is seeking details of RSS activities in the state.

Why is Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan not doing this. Run a thorough investigation on RSS fundings, activities. I am sure every RSS office exists in violation of some or the other law, they probably lacking necessary paperwork.

Kalburgi murder case – Wife of Kalburgi identified the victim.

Inch by inch the murder investigations of Gauri Lankesh, Kalburgi, Dhabholkar and Pansare have been establishing links with Sanatan Sanstha and is on the verge of proving all 4 murders are connected and motivated by warped Hindutva ideology. But with fall in KA govt entire prosecution likely to fail.

Anasuiya Uikey the Newly appointed Governor of Chatthisgarh, 62, expresses too much happiness over the appointment.

When somebody in such a post thinks the PM is doing a favour on them by the posting, it is obvious such Governors will remain Center’s puppet, more than center, BJP puppet. Very shameful.

FMCG Growth is slowing down due to dip in rural demand

Growth going down since 2016, presumably when demonetisation was done. Rahul Gandhi during election campaign made several speehes that wanted to stop this process by remonetization, that is the NYAY scheme. By putting cash in poor hands to increase purchase of FMCG products and jump start economy. He used to say in the rallies, “with cash in their hand, gareeb aadmi will go and buy phone, camera, soap, shampoo, tooth brush…” It sounded silly at that time but fact is 36-37% of FMCG growth is due to rural sales. So he was absolutely right. But India wasn’t interested, or they didn’t get the message. Congress couldn’t communicate well. India will realize it in years to come.

On Communal issues:

  1. Jharkhand Court which ordered donation of Quran to Hindu woman who made communal post on Facebook has withdrawn the bail condition. It should worry us that the court has withdrawn after police submitted that it will not be possible and the State also participated in the matter and said it wants Court to withdraw the condition. Ideally, State should not have any
  2. MP government is planning to make law to put cow vigilantes doing any violence against those held in anti-cow slaughter laws in jail.
